The Prince George Ballroom is an exclusive catering located in Manhattan. Housed on East 27th st, between Madison and Fifth ave the Prince George Ballroom provides enough space for even the largest weddings. Gothic and ornate, the 4800 sq foot ballroom was designed over 100 years ago and can hold up to 300 guests for sit down dinners. It has since been restored to it's original decor, complete with oak hard wood flooring, huge marble mantelpiece and 16 foot decorated ceilings. NYC Weddings, NYC looks to replace Vegas as Wedding Capital

Las Vegas has always been known for the quick wedding. Just drive on up and leave married, no fuss, no muss. In Vegas You can actually get married at a drive through! Now NYC with the help of Mayor Bloomberg is looking to make NYC the Wedding Capital of the US. The number of people getting married in Vegas has dropped and NYC is quickly looking to replace it. Hoping to bring in the tourists, NYC has redesigned it's Marriage Bureau in a newly refurbished ornate building that dates back to 1929. The new 24,000 sq foot wedding space opened on January 5th, the newly designed building hopes to attract couples from all over the world. NYC is the capital of the world, and millions of tourists flock here every year to see the sights, now NYC hopes they will stop to get married here as well. City Hall weddings in NYC are not all that uncommon, and the new space provides all the amenities a quick wedding requires including a small wedding shop where brides a grooms can get those last minute Wedding Essentials, like the rings!

NYC Wedding Season is Upon Us

The New York City Wedding Season is quickly upon us. Traditionally weddings are planned for the late spring and late summer/early fall months; in NYC this usually provides for the best weather, not too hot-not too cold. While most brides have this event planned out for years, its always a good idea to get started early. As for transportation, if your wedding party and guest list is larger than normal you'll need to plan this early and carefully. Most wedding transportation includes a minimum time, this is usually enough time for the limo to pick up the bride/groom, take them to the church, for pictures and end up at the reception hall. You may need a larger limo or SUV limo for larger wedding parties, and if your guests are coming in from out of town and staying at local hotels you may consider a limo bus or mini coach for shuttle transport.
